Les Filles x John Hardy + Neiman Marcus

Les Filles collaborated with John Hardy Jewellry for their latest campaign ‘Dragon Girl Records’.

A dragon woman is bold, fierce, full of fire, a champion of others, a catalyst of social and positive change, and brings life, strength and encouragement to help remind those she surrounds that the process is a journey.

John Hardy identified the women of Les Filles to each embody this definition, and asked that Les Filles both be the face of their campaign shot by Emma Craft, and DJ the store openings with Neiman Marcus.

Les Filles x L.O.N.B.

   

Les Filles worked with the new luxury bag brand L.O.N.B. to create the sonic identity for their flagship store in London, and work on a media strategy to immerse the brand into the music community as they prepare to launch in Bergdorf Goodman and Barneys. 

For the flagship store, Les Filles identified that there needed to be different energy levels created for the different days and times of the week. Fourteen playlists were created, for time slots of 10am-3pm and 3pm-7pm every day. These playlists are to be updated monthly. 

The media strategy Les Filles has created to have L.O.N.B. immerse itself into the music community, involves bringing in every month a musician or esteemed industry professional who has been identified as representing the brands DNA, to create a playlist, that fits within the L.O.N.B. world. 

The collaborators coming on board via the Les Filles network include: Rodaidh McDonald (music producer of The XX, Sampha, David Byrne etc), Jamie XX, Caroline Polacheck, and more.

Les Filles x Alber Elbaz x LeSportsac

Les Filles had the ultimate pleasure to collaborate with Alber Elbaz and his new collection with LeSportsac, during SS19 NYFW.

Alber and LeSportsac, with the help of Bollare, created a magical wonderland at Spring Place, where his creations were brought to life.

Les Filles sonically branded the event, and live DJ’d and performed over the course of the evening.

Blu Detiger played bass over an array of disco tracks, Alix Brown sung her latest track she collaborated on with Will from MGMT, and Brianna Lance sang the track ‘Aw Man’ from her latest album she collaborated on with David Fridmann. Bec Adams held down the music for the rest of the event, djing amongst all these performances.

Les Filles x TOME SS19 NYFW

Les Filles created the runway music for the TOME NYFW SS19 runway show, held at Spring Studios on Tuesday September 11.

Blu Detiger and Bec Adams elongated the track ‘Kong’ by Neneh Cherry, so that it would last for the 7 minutes of the runway presentation, and highlighted the dramatic effects of the song.

Blu Detiger then made the original score, a track she created inspired by romantic raw feel to the collection, to live on the live video. This video with the track can be watched here.

Blu DeTiger on tour with Kitten

Blu DeTiger has just wrapped up being on tour and playing the bass in the band Kitten. Kitten is a new wave punk band. Her brother Rex, who is an accomplished DJ as well also plays the drums in the band. Blu had met the lead singer of Kitten, Chloe, when she was 17 years old while dj-ing. They then later reconnected on a set for a Hip-Hop video where Chloe asked Blu if she would want to audition for her band, and she has been playing with them ever since. Kitten played all across the nation on their Pink Champagne Tour including iconic venues such as House of Blues in San Diego, CA, and The Van Buren in Phoenix, AZ. You can catch Blu DeTiger at their next show at Incuya Fest in Cleveland, Ohio.
